Tuscarawas County's accredited exam staff, led by
Brent Gribble N8BAG (n8bag79@gmail.com), hold ARRL VE exams every 2nd Saturday of the even numbered months, except in April where it is held at the annual Tusco ARC Hamfest.

All exam sessions begin at 9:00 am, with registration beginning at 8:30 am. The Tusco VE Team uses the HamSudy.org website for all test session registrations.
All three tests, Technician, General, and Extra, are offered on all exam dates.

On the HamStudy.org page, click on the top right-hand side blue box entitled “Find a Session”.
On the new page, click the Choose box in the “Located:” section.
The “Show sessions near:” box will appear. In the Zip Code field, type in 44622, Dover's zip code. Then click the “Enter” key on your keyboard.
 
If you do not find the session date that you would like, click the “Load more…” button at the bottom of the page!
When you see the Tuscarawas County VE Team test session that you would like to register for click the Green time oval.
 
On the session register page, you will see Tuscarawas County VE Team sessions listed

Click the Orange “Register” button to start the registration process.
If you do not have a HamStudy free account, you will need to sign up for one during the registration process!
After registering with HamStudy.org, you will receive an email from them confirming that your registration has been completed.
You will be added to our ExamTools session for the date that you have registered for, and the Tusco VE team will also receive an email for your registration.

**BE SURE TO BRING YOUR 4-DIGIT PIN THE DAY OF YOUR EXAM THAT YOU RECEIVE AT THE END OF THE REGISTRATION PROCESS!**

Cost: $15.00 Fee Payment (or $5 for under 18 yrs old) will only be by check or exact change.

**There will be an additional $35 fee paid directly to the FCC within 10 days of receiving your new callsign. We do not collect this fee. The FCC does NOT charge the $35 for upgrades** 

The ARRL Youth Licensing Grant Program will cover thE $35 fee for anyone under the age of 18 yrs old. Go to www.arrl.org for more information

Ensure you have the following:
​
1) A picture ID such as a valid Driver’s License, State ID, School ID, or US Passport.​

2) If you are under 16 years of age, a parent or guardian must be able to vouch for you, and you'll need a copy of your birth certificate (you do not have to give us a copy, we just have to see and verify).​

3) FCC is requiring you have your valid e-mail address on the Form 605.​

4) If you are taking a Technician test you will need your FRN number (you can apply for a Federal Registration Number on the FCC website). For hams having a recent license, your FRN should be on your license.

​5) If you are upgrading to General or Extra – You MUST bring your original valid amateur radio license and a copy of your valid amateur radio license to turn in with your Form 605. Bring your own pencils and pens (We will have some if needed)

7) Calculators are okay to use (if you need one) as long as the memory is cleared and checked by a member of the VE Team.
